BookScouter has a host of preferred merchants, companies to whom we have shipped books and with whom we have had a good relationship. We have vetted these vendors to find ones that offer booksellers the best experience.
The preferred merchants for the next few weeks are TextbookRush and BookStores.com. It may seem odd that we have two seemingly separate companies featured in the same month. Though they are different websites with differing functions, they are owned by the same company. TextbookRush launched BookStores.com in 2008 as a marketplace-only website with a global reach.
TextbookRush
TextbookRush is the largest independent online bookstore. They have been online since 2002 and buy over two million different titles. They often pay the highest price for your textbooks on BookScouter. Prices lock for 20 days, and they provide a free shipping label. You can choose to receive payment by cash, PayPal, and store credit. If you choose store credit, you receive five percent more for your textbook. TextbookRush focuses on colleges students, and their services extend to buying, selling, and renting video games, movies, electronics, eBooks, and study tools. The company is known for buying and selling International Editions, formerly a controversial practice.
Bookstores.com
TextBookRush developed Bookstores.com as a marketplace-only website for global reach. Bookstores.com currently has four out of five stars on BookScouter’s review page. Customers appreciate their “real-person” customer service that operates seven days a week. Like TextbookRush, Bookstores.com offers free shipping and pays via cash, PayPal, and store credit. They also offer a five percent bonus for textbooks if you choose store credit as your method of payment. They send payment one to three days after processing your textbook. The website also includes electronics, movies, and games.
Thank you TextbookRush and Bookstores.com for offering top prices for textbooks on BookScouter.
