We’ve been rolling out new features like the Historic Pricing Graph and Bluetooth Scanner Capability with the BookScouter app to help you make you the most money, fast. Well, we’re not done! The app has gotten even better.
The app’s new Bookshelf feature will save you time. No longer will you have to search a book twice. Simply tap the “Add to Bookshelf” button after searching a book’s ISBN, and it will be added to your collection of saved titles you want to sell later.
You can view all of your saved searches by selecting the icon with three bars in the top right corner of the app. Delete the books you no longer want by selecting the “X”. Note that this tool does not lock in the price of the book.
The Bookshelf can save you time when scanning multiple books, especially when paired with the app’s Bluetooth Scanner Capability.
A “Clear List” button at the bottom of your bookshelf deletes your entire list. Don’t be too afraid about accidentally pressing the button; you have to verify that you want to delete the list before anything is removed from your bookshelf.
The “Email List” button does exactly what it says; it lets you email the list of books to yourself. This feature is nice when you want to process quite a few books on your computer and print out the mailing labels.
Please continue to give us feedback so we can improve your BookScouting experience!
Okay so im new to this book selling thing. So my question is what if the books do not have an isbn# due to being older books and alot of them are first editions. What do i do then?
We actually have several articles in our Resource page to answer those very questions! For questions on what to do with your first editions, read this article. This other resource about books without ISBN’s may help you. Let us know if you have any other questions!
This article answered all my questions. I am very excited about this new “Add to Bookshelf” button as I have been bothered by having to search a book two or three times in the past. I am happy to know all the new tricks of the website. Thanks for all the help!
